Implement a web presence in two phases-
Phase 1 - Project Site (http://www.grcc.edu/closingthegap)
This site will contain information about the project (e.g. links to press release, grant scope, timelines). The audience will primarily be team members, pilot groups, grant stakeholders. Garry will reserve and create.
Phase 2 - Learning Portal
This will be a tool for students, faculty and staff who use the devices.
2. Procurement
a. Selection
A small group will try different devices (e.g. iPod Touch, eePC).
b. Pilot
A group of faculty, staff and Peer Mentors ( Mich Tech, Yale, Liverpool ) will be fielded with the selected device for summer trial
c. Implementation
Once the device has been field tested and we watch for any upgrades to the device, we will purchase devices and laptops/tablets.
